Hi there! My name is Emm!
I’m 31 years old, wifey for 9 years and a mother to 3 littles. You may be wondering, who is this Woven Light Co and what is she about? And why the name Woven Light? Well firstly I am and have always been a lover of light, sunrise and sunsets in particular, I’ve always been fascinated, struck by awe of the beauty and the peace they bring. Secondly I’ve always had a huge interest in peoples lives/stories, where’d they come from, their why behind what they do, the “how they met”, the incredible journey of motherhood, the highs and the lows, the real and the raw. My goal is to weave your story into beautiful keepsakes through images and films that will last a lifetime, hence the name “Woven Light”. I’m passionate about capturing your story, the beautiful, the real and the raw in a style that would be best described as documentary/non-posed/candid.

The history of me…
From as early as 9 years old I had a camera in my hand, my first camera being a film SLR, I was constantly heading to Coles to develop my film (hoping they had turned out, really showing my age now haha). From then to my teens, I played around with video cameras, making all sorts of silly skit films with my siblings which slowly progressed to more storyline centred films. After a few years of working after I finished school, I realised that this was my passion I wanted to pursue, so I went to JMC academy in Brisbane to study Film and TV. Shortly after finishing my Diploma I started my Wedding Videography business in 2012.

After 3 years in Brisbane running a fairly successful videography business, my hubby and I had a surprise pregnancy which sent us pining for home in Cairns where all our family were. It was after I had my first child in 2016, that my love for photography grew stronger, after taking a zillion photos of my baby haha, I decided to take on more photography jobs to explore that passion. Fast forward to now, I couldn’t be happier doing what I do! From meeting my clients to delivering their photos/films, the whole process brings me so much joy!
